When I look at the phrase “ Those who know how work for those who know why” I think of a type of dictatorship or a major business. The people that know how are the ones that are capable of actually of doing it. The people that know why are the ones that are able to make profit off the people who know how. This is how the world works. Almost every great company is built by people who rarely see the top of the ladder. Mostly because they are not capable of the know why. Everyone has there own strengths and weaknesses. It you make it to the top of the ladder, your strengths are right for the job. Not everyone strengths are the same that is why it take the people who know how as well as the people who know why.
The next question was a lot harder for me to answer because I don't watch TV or read the news paper. There is nothing good on either one. The story that I found was of President Obama who spoke about the proposal to build a mosque two blocks from the site of the September 11 terror attacks.
"Muslims have the right to practice their religion as everyone else in this country," President Obama said. "And that includes the right to build a place of worship and a community center on private property in lower Manhattan."http://www.voanews.com/english/news/Obamas-Mosque-Comments-Fuel-Controversy---100969249.html
This topic is fueled by so many things. The September 11 attack as let this country sore to anyone that practices Islam or has anything to do with it. Are people mad because the president is trying to be fair to the Muslims or are they mad because the building site is so close to where the twin towers use to stand. Because of our past history with the Muslims I don't think that there is ever going to be a right answer.
Yes children need to be taught reasoning even at the primary level. By teaching they reasoning your teaching them right from wrong. Your teaching them how to look at a situation and figure out what is the right thing to do. I have two children one is 11 and the other is 3. I taught reasoning to the 11 year old as well as what I'm teaching the 3 year old. They say a child's manors are set by the age of 7 so it is important to build a strong foundation early on.
