To spend or not to spend that is the question. I'm not sure whether spend money is patriotic or not but it needs to be done. I think if everyone buckles down with there money, it could force us into another depression. Just think about it. Lets say a big time CEO want to remodel his home. So he call a builder, which in turn he call his trades and money is spread down the line. Because of this simple remodel close to 10-15 people will have a job that week. Now with the money they earned, they shop for food, cloths and other things they want and need. Which puts money back into the economy. Now if the big CEO didn't do this, he would probably be fine, but not all thous who would have benefited from the work. So spending money is good. I think that it benefits our country., but as far as patriotic I'm not sure if I would call it that.
I think that change is a good thing. It is important that we as a society try new things. Media plays a huge part in getting us to try these new things. I would like to see a change to better families. Do to all of these technological advances families are doing less and less together. Watching TV together does not count. How about going to the park, camping, or just throwing the good old football around. We are working more and more and spending less and less time with the family. I'm guilty of this too. The problem is cost. People now a days have to work two jobs just to make the ends meet.
I would have to say the greatest advance would have to be in medical. To be honest I don't care prescription. I think our body has the ability to heal a lot more than we give it credit for, but there is a time and place for it. About two years ago I cut my thigh with a saw and was flown to Phoenix, where they fixed my leg. Other than an unsightly scar my leg is fine and causes me no trouble. Now if this were to have happened 10 to 15 years ago, I would have not been as lucky as I was. That is why I think the changes in medicine have been for the positive.
